FAQ

WHICH ELECTRONIC MODULES ARE THE SNARES, TOMS, BASS DRUM (KICK PAD) AND CYMBALS COMPATIBLE TO?

It is compatible to most drum modules.
Please see the Compatibility section of this site.

CAN I TRY IT OR BUY IT IN STORE?

If you happen to live near Saint-Alexandre-d'Iberville, Québec, Canada, then you could make an appointment to try our products at our shop.
Otherwise, they are only available online for the rest of the world.  Don't worry, we stand behind our products. If you are not satisfied with the product and our after sale service, you can return it within a month for product refund.

WHAT IS THE SUPPORT FOR YAMAHA MODULES?

The Yamaha snare rim shot technology is different from the other brands.  All you have to do is use another port than the one declared as "snare" on your drum module.

The configuration procedure for yamaha is included in the PDF document sent to you by email when we ship the products.

WHAT IS THE COMPATIBILITY WITH THE NITRO MODULE ?

The Nitro module lacks a few settings that high end modules offer for pad adjustments.  Our products do work with the Alesis Nitro module, but the result is not always optimal.  It is difficult for us to claim full compatibility as some Nitro module users just love our products and order more, while others are not fully satisfied (which happens almost exclusively with this module).

But here is one that is very satisfied: https://www.reddit.com/r/vdrums/comments/ejqp3g/laurin_drumsa_little_review/

WHAT SETTINGS TO PUT IN MY DRUM MODULE ?

Suggested settings for the different modules are sent to you by email when the products are shipped, but can be found on clicking HERE.

As you will notice on the compatibility chart, there is over 100 drum modules on the market today - so we may not have suggested settings for all of them, specially fir the ones that just came out on the market.  We rely on our customers to get the best suggested values for all that is out there.

DO YOU MAKE 14" SNARES?

We now make 14" snares to satisfy this demand.  Please note that this size of mesh snare might not be optimally sensitive and responsive for all drumming styles.   The last inch all around a 14" snare is very much less sensitive.  We highly recommend the 12" snare for maximum responsiveness.

DO YOU DO CUSTOM DESIGNS?

We love to do custom designs.  You just send us yor high resolution images (highest possible) and we will send you mock-ups for comments.  Please make sure you have the right to use the images you send us as we will assume you do.

Custom designs are free of charge for mesh pads (but there is a 20$ charge for custom cymbals).

I READ COMMENTS ABOUT YOUR PRODUCTS AND SEEN REVIEWS

So do we!  We receive great comments and reviews every day about our products, and we are always looking for constructive suggestions.  We listen and look for all comments that can inspire and fuel us. WE ARE CONSTANTLY IMPROVING OUR PRODUCTS BASED ON REVIEWS AND OWNERS COMMENTS.  We have made countless modifications over the years based on suggestions made by our most difficult customers or reviewers. It is in our DNA to constantly improve our products to offer you the best electronic drum art for the drumming artists.

RIM SHOT ISSUES WITH THE ALESIS STRIKE MODULE

The Alesis Strike module is different in the way it "reads" the rim shot.  You need to order the "Stike Electronic Kit" for the Laurin Snare or Toms for the rim shot to work properly.

WHAT IS THE RETURN/REFUND POLICY

We accept returns within two months after the order is shipped and we then refund the product, but not the original shipping charges nor the shipping back.
